But the king of Edom said, “You shall not pass through [my territory].” And Edom came out against Israel with many people and a strong hand.

And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
Yet Edom insisted, “You may not travel through.” And they came out to confront them with a large force of heavily-armed people.
But he said, “You won’t cross.” Then Edom came out against them with a powerful army and a strong hand.
But he said, “You are not to pass through”; and Edom came out against them with many people and much force.
But the king insisted, “You can't go through our land!” Then Edom sent out its strongest troops
And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
But he answered: Thou shalt not pass. And immediately he came forth to meet them with an infinite multitude, and a strong hand,
But again the king of Edom answered, “We will not allow you to come through our country.” Then the king of Edom gathered a large and powerful army and went out to fight against the Israelites.
The king of Edom said, ‘No, you must not travel through our country.’ He sent many strong soldiers to attack the Israelites.
Edom said, “You will not pass through.” Edom went out to meet them with a large force of many people.
But he said, “You shall not pass through.” And Edom came out against them with a large army and with a strong force.
But he said, “You shall not pass through.” And Edom came out against them with a large army and with a strong force.
But he answered: “You may not pass through here.” Then the Edomites went out to meet the Israelites with a large and powerful army.
He answered again, Thou shalt not go through. Then Edom came out against him with much people, and with a mighty power.
But the Edomites said, “You may not pass through.” Then they came out and attacked with many well-armed troops.
The Edomites repeated, “We refuse!” and they marched out with a powerful army to attack the people of Israel.
Yet Edom insisted, “You must not travel through.” And they came out to confront them with a large force of heavily-armed people.
But he answered: “You may not pass through here.” Then the Edomites went out to meet the Israelites with a large and powerful army.
But still he replied, “No. You’re not to pass through.” Then Edom went out to meet Moses with a vast army and a lot of military might.
And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with many people and with a strong hand.

But the king of Edom was adamant. “Stay out!” he warned, and, mobilizing his army, he marched to the frontier with a great force.
He answered again: “No. You may not come through.” And Edom came out and blocked the way with a crowd of people brandishing weapons. Edom refused to let them cross through his land. So Israel had to detour around him.
He said, “You will not go through.” And Edom came out against them with many people and with a strong hand.
But the Edomites said, “You may not pass through.” Then they came out and attacked with many well-armed troops.
But Edom replied, “You shall not pass through,” and advanced against them with a large and heavily armed force.
But he said, “You shall not pass through.” And Edom came out against him with a heavy force and a strong hand.
But he said, “You shall not pass through.” And Edom came out against him with a heavy force and with a strong hand.
But he said, “You will not pass through.” Edom came out against the people with a great and powerful force.
But he answered: “You may not pass through here.” Then the Edomites went out to meet the Israelites with a large and powerful army.
But he said, “You may not pass through.” Then Edom came out against them with a large and powerful force.
Again the people of Edom answered, “We won’t let you pass through here.” Then the people of Edom marched out against them. They came with a large and powerful army.
Again they answered: “You may not pass through.” Then Edom came out against them with a large and powerful army.
Again they answered: ‘You may not pass through.’ Then Edom came out against them with a large and powerful army.
Then he said, “You shall not pass through.” So Edom came out against them with many men and with a strong hand.
But Edom said, “You must not pass through.” And Edom came out against him with many men and much strength.
But the king of Edom replied, “Stay out! You may not pass through our land.” With that he mobilized his army and marched out against them with an imposing force.

He answered, “You may not pass through!” Yet Edom came out to oppose them with a large and well-armed people.
Edom’s Message: Absolutely not. At that point, the Edomites indeed came out in force, fully armed, against the Israelites.
He said, “You shall not pass through.” Edom came out against him with many people, and with a strong hand.
And he answered, Ye shall not pass by me. And anon he went out against Israel, with a multitude without number, and [with a] strong hand/and with strong power, (And they answered, Ye shall not pass through our land. And at once the Edomites went out against Israel, in a multitude without number, and with mighty power,)
And he saith, `Thou dost not pass over;' and Edom cometh out to meet him with much people, and with a strong hand;
